DXM is an abreviation for Dextromethorphan Hbr, it's an active ingredient in certain brands of robitussin so some call addiction to this compound "robitussin addiction." Tripping DXM has many dangers outside of just addiction as well, like forming derealization. A lot of parents aren't aware of cough medicine abuse and I hope this brings it to light for them to revent DXM abuse. Quitting DXM, AKA dexing, is possible and if you struggle I urge you to reach out - there is no shame. Also, people need to be aware that Triple C's are a lot more dangerous than DXM by itself, though that doesn't mean pure DXM is safe.
